(https://coronavirus.1point3acres.com/
http://castut.org/covid-19/utah0987.png.
https://saltlaketribune-ut.newsmemory.com/
https://www.sltrib.com/news/2020/08/06/three-more-deaths-another/
https://www.sltrib.com/news/politics/2020/08/03/data-shows-inconsistent/

All Utahns Fight Against Coronavirus

【8/1-8/7 COVID-19 Briefing by Utah Chinese Communities 6:00pm Mountain Time】

=== Safety Measures for COVID-19:Keep Social Distancing, Wear a Facial Mask, Frequently Wash Your Hands, Get Test If You Have a Symptom. ===

  1. U.S. Confirmed Cases: 5,037,907 (+378,107, or +54,015 per day from 08/01 to 08/07), Deaths: 163,107 (+7,213, or +1,030 per day), Recovered: 2,472,636 (+197,400, or +28,200 per day). (https://coronavirus.1point3acres.com/).
  2. Utah COVID-19 Cases reported by Utah Department of Health as of today: 43,375 confirmed cases total, number of people tested 559,100, positive rate 7.76%; death cases 335, death rate 0.77%; estimated recovered cases 32,371, and active cases 10,669; currently hospitalized 202, and accumulated hospitalization 2,578, 5.94% of the total cases. The average growth is 1.1% per day for the last 14 days, and 1.05% for the last 7 days. The daily new cases in past week has continued the decreasing trend of the previous week, and the average number of new cases was 445 cases per day in last 14 days. http://www.castut.org/covid-19/utah0807en.png. Distribution in counties/areas in the format of “cases/ hospitalization/ death”: Salt Lake 20,287/ 1,329/ 189, Utah 8,536/ 389/ 37, Southwest Utah 3,167/ 178/ 25, Davis 3,156/ 178/ 21, Weber-Morgan 2,773/ 174/ 25, Bear River 2,275/ 104/ 6, Summit 706/ 53/ 1, San Juan 648/ 83/ 25, Tooele 579/ 29/ 0, Wasatch 552/ 21/ 4, Central Utah 415/ 25/ 2, TriCounty 175/ 10/ 0, Southeast Utah 106/ 5/ 0.
  3. The total COVID-19 deaths in Utah is 335 on August 7. The University of Washington IHME’s new and improved model projects 533 COVID-19 deaths in Utah by November 1 based on three assumptions: 1) Relative and gradual easing of social distancing mandates; 2) That easing would continue unless Utah faces more than 24 deaths per day, in which the model assumes mandates would restart; 3) Masking stays where it’s at: many people wear masks but below universal levels. If Utah would adopt universal masking — defined as 95% masking in public in every location — then the IHME predicts only 413 deaths in Utah. https://saltlaketribune-ut.newsmemory.com/.
  4. School: Utah Department of Health announced that Utah’s guidelines for public schools would no longer include a “modified quarantine” allowing attendance by students and educators exposed to people with COVID-19 but showing no symptoms themselves. In the case of students, the original guideline had left the decision up to parents whether or not to send their children to school. New guidance clarifies that students and teachers should follow standard quarantine practices when exposed to COVID-19. No kids exposed to virus allowed in class. Standard quarantine practice means staying home for 14 days. https://www.sltrib.com/news/2020/08/06/three-more-deaths-another/
  5. Day Care: 57 Utah child care facilities reported COVID-19 outbreaks, which is 4.4% of the state’s 1,280 licensed child care centers. Child care facilities in Utah have collectively reported 82 cases of COVID-19 so far and that more than a third of these centers never closed their doors in response. Utah guidelines have instructions to daycare facilities, but a closure decision is made by each facility. https://www.sltrib.com/news/politics/2020/08/03/data-shows-inconsistent/
  6. Wellness Bus Testing Schedule (Appointments/pre-registration for the Wellness Bus are HIGHLY encouraged, having one speeds the testing process. Phone numbers to call to make appointments: 801-587-0712, option #3):
