犹他华人联合抗疫的社团成员和朋友们：
自犹他20多个华人亚裔社团联合发布【致犹他州社区、社区伙伴、各界朋友倡议书】以来，我们得到了社区各界的大力支持。大家纷纷以实际行动响应倡议书，积极开展族裔间的互助互爱，齐心协力共同抗击疫情，给社会、犹他社区传递满满的爱心和正能量。非常感谢！
与此同时，随着犹他新冠病毒确诊人数呈亚指数型增长，我们也深深地感受到犹他的医疗系统正在面临物资缺乏的挑战。有很多组织和个人也为此前来询问捐款捐物的途径和方式。经协商，大家决定联合筹款购买合格的医用口罩，通过州里认可的捐赠渠道，并以犹他华人社区的名义统一捐献到有关卫生机构。为此，我们特请旅美科协犹他分会（犹他科协）公布以下捐款渠道，如果捐物请联系协调小组成员送到东方报收集点。
作为此次筹款捐物的协调组织，犹他科协理事会决定首先捐出$3,000，有的社团表示愿以Match/匹配的形式捐款。盐湖城华助中心副主任、 “儒商绅士”大中集团韩明山董事长也率先慷慨捐献$5000。我们现在已经有了可靠的本土货源，但资金不够。如果你有意捐款，请看下面捐款渠道。我们希望通过这一行动提高华人（亚裔）融入本地社会、关心本地社区的形象，彰显华人（亚裔）建设犹他美丽家园的美好愿望，以实际行动“心连心、 护卫家园”、参与援助本地医疗机构的抗疫战争。

Donation Proposal for Purchasing Medical Supplies for Utah Healthcare Systems

The Chinese Community COVID-19 Coordination Alliance has received well responses and broad support from all walks of life, since the Alliance issued the Chinese Utahns’ Action Proposal Letter to Fight for COVID-19 on March 19, 2020 (http://castut.org/covid-19/proposal.pdf). To put the proposal into action, many organizations and individuals inquired about ways and means to donate money or medical supplies to healthcare facilities in Utah.
Having coordinated with the participating organizations, the Chinese Association for Science and Technology – Utah Chapter (CAST-UT) will serve as the leading fund-raising group for this effort. CAST-UT is a 501(c)3 organization. Currently CAST-UT has identified a purchase source for qualified medical masks but lack adequate funding. All donated funds will be used to purchase medical protection equipment for doctors, nurses and front-line health workers in Utah. CAST-UT will deliver those donated materials to the state designated collection sites.
This collective donation effort will greatly improve the image of Chinese people, further integrate us into the society, demonstrate our caring for the community, and assist local medical institutions in the war against COVID-19.
