7. 盐湖城和盐湖郡均表示要延长此前颁布的紧急状态。在周二盐湖城的紧急状态已延长三十天，而盐湖郡今天将该紧急状态延长至七月六号。随着疫情的控制，如有必要两条紧急状态都可以提前解除。
8. 从四月七号开始，盐湖城在70个交通繁忙的交通路口处，安装无需接触的步行触发装置来减少病毒传播。
9. ARUP实验室正在尽全力分析犹他大学医学院和犹他州进行的COVID-19的测试样本。为了帮助“flattern the curve”,给更多有症状者进行测试显得非常紧迫和重要。请有症状的人员拨打热线801-587-0712来确定是否要来犹他大学医学院的运营的五个监测点进行检测。

3. COVID-19 pandemic could peak in Utah starting Friday, predicted by the biostatisticians at the University of Utah. The team used data from the pandemic in Italy and also predicts Utah will see 10,000 confirmed cases by the end of August, when the disease will have mostly run its course. Like the Seattle analysts’ projections, the U. projections are assuming Utah continues following strong social distancing measures like those implemented in Italy after the disease had taken hold. 4. Gov. Herbert announced that anyone over 18 years old traveling to Utah as their final destination from either through the Salt Lake City International Airport or coming in through Utah’s freeways will have to complete a travel declaration starting Friday. The self declaration will include questions about if they have been tested, had symptoms and where they have recently traveled. Drivers will receive a text message through the state emergency system upon entering the state with a link to a declaration form to be filled.
5. State of Utah has devoted endeavors to slow the spread of coronavirus. According to Spencer Cox, Utah is only two states with more than 50% of hospitals joining the reporting of critical coronavirus updates. In a visit between Gov. Gary Herbert and Dr. Anthony Fauci, Dr Fauci expressed deep impression on the Utah’s comprehensive response.
6. Spectrum DNA, a bio-company in Utah, has developed a new saliva test method for COVID-19. Current testing method typically painful nasal and throat swabbing.  This new method will reduce the pain suffering and exposure of the professionals to potentials risks of coronavirus. 7. Both Salt Lake City and Salt Lake County planned to expand state of emergency. On Tuesday, Salt Lake City Council expanded its emergency orders for 30 days. Salt Lake County Council expanded the declaration until July 6. Both orders can be called off earlier if needed.
8. Starting from Apr 07 afternoon, Salt Lake City installed touchless activation for crosswalk at 70 of most heavily trafficked crosswalks.
9. Working around the clock, ARUP is now analyzing thousands of COVID-19 tests/day for U of U Health and for Utah. To help flatten the curve, it is vital that more symptomatic individuals are tested in Utah.
