During the 151st Anniversary of the Transcontinental Railroad, the Utah Chinese Golden Spike Celebration Committee will have a free online symposium on “How much do Asian Americans have to do to prove our American-ness?” ( May 9th Saturday 2pm-4pm MDT ).   3. Summary of Deaths and Hospitalization: In the last 7 days, Utah had 15 COVID-19 deaths, the highest weekly death toll. The total deaths were 46 on May 1 and 61 on May 8.  Among the 15 new deaths, 6 of them were male, 9 were female; Age of 85 or older was 5, 61-84 was 6; 60 or younger was 4; 12 with underlying conditions; 9 were hospitalized before deaths; 6 deaths were associated with long-term care.  There are a total of 476 hospitalizations, but currently only 92 people are hospitalized.   4. The Utah Department of Health began to publish COVID-19 case incidence per 100,000 people in Utah by small area in the last 14 days (as of 5/7). The Utah Department of Health published the statistics of primary investigated exposure sources as follows: Healthcare 2%，Travel 3.7%，In-state without know contact 16.1%, Know contact 60.5%, Unknown/Under Investigation 17.7%. DOH also reported pre-existing conditions of all COVID-19 cases: 44.5% of all cases with a pre-existing condition; 14.6% former smoker; 5.4% current smoker; 10.9% chronic pulmonary; 9.4% diabetes; 7.1% cardiovascular diseases.
