  6. 食品互助:请有条件的家庭在疫情期间购买食物时避开那些有 WIC 标志的食物,因为使用食品券的家庭只能购买固定品种的WIC食物,不能买价钱高的产品代替。当WIC产品卖完后商铺未能及时补充,这些家庭就面临着买不到食物的危机。让我们一起确保把 WIC 食物留给有需要的家庭。

  2. Utah COVID-19 Cases reported by UDOH as of today: 1,012(+125) confirmed cases total, number of people tested 20,155, positive rate 5.02%; Hospitalization 91(+18), death cases 7(+2). The growth of coronavirus cases in Utah remains sub-exponential (p=0.72): http://www.castut.org/covid-19/utah0401en.jpg. Major counties of distribution: Salt Lake 444(+48), Summit 195(+23), Davis 93(+9), Utah 90(+20), Wasatch 56(+6); Visitors 22. Age distribution: 0-14 2%; 15-24 14%, 25-44  40%, 45-64  32%, 65+  12%.   3. Governor Herbert announced to extend the duration of the 3/17 State Public Health Order to April 15; a modification is that restaurants can let customers pick up their orders from inside the counter under the 6’ social distancing requirement. He also emphasized that state parks only allow residents in its location county to visit. Governor also issued a new Executive Order to allow residential tenants to defer their rental payments, and freezing evictions until May 15, 2020. This deferral applies specifically to people who experience financial losses tied to COVID-19.

  5. The emergency response teams in Utah are working extremely hard to keep us all safe during this pandemic. Please review this guide before calling 911. Please keep in mind that we need to keep our ambulances available for life-threatening emergencies. If this is really an emergency, including chest pains, stroke symptoms, serious trauma, trouble breathing or other serious conditions, please call 911. If you only have minor emergency, before you call 911 please review if you really need an ambulance, if there another transportation method available, or you may get treatment from your primary health care provider.   6. Help in Food: Please avoid purchasing food products with a WIC tag if you can, because the families on WIC only can buy certain brands of food and can’t replace it with higher-price brands. Those families could face a food crisis if the WIC products are sold out and a food market could not supply WIC food in a timely and adequate manner.

  8. Disinfecting steps to avoid bringing the coronavirus back to home: Take off the work clothes outside the door or wash it immediately, take off the shoes, take off gloves, wash your hands, take off your jacket, wash your hands the second time, remove your mask, remove glasses, nasal-wash, mouth-wash, shampoo and shower after a long time being out.
